Multi Packaging Solutions Kicks Off Football Season With Special DVD Package For Universal Studios Home Entertainment “Coach” Season 1
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

NEW YORK—As the dog days of summer come to a close that could only mean that the start of the American football season is right around the corner.

Fans of the gridiron and classic television sitcoms perusing DVD retail shelves will immediately gravitate to the first complete season of Coach (Universal Studios Home Entertainment).

Creatively packaged by Multi Packaging Solutions (Multi Packaging Solutions), headquartered in New York, the special limited edition is designed to resemble a football team’s playbook, which is wrapped in football-like material, complete with laces.  Designed by Multi Packaging Solutions and custom manufactured in Asia, the mini-binder playbook contains sleeves that hold the releaseÌs four DVDs.

The cover of the playbook says “Minnesota State University Screaming Eagles Play Book.” Inside the playbook are episode descriptions included with the set. The DVD set includes all 13 season one episodes and a bonus episode from the shows second season ("Homewreckers").

“The Coach DVD package is just the latest example of the kind of ingenuity that Multi Packaging Solutions can deliver for content owners,” commented Paula Doherty, Multi Packaging Solutions Vice President of Sales. Added Mark Campbell, Multi Packaging Solutions Director of Special Packaging: “The Multi Packaging Solutions team was able to bring this creative vision to market with our wide array of resources and our project management expertise in special packaging.”

Coach, dealing with the comical trials and tribulations of a fictional college football coach, ran in prime-time on ABC for eight seasons starting in 1989. Multi Packaging Solutions’s Doherty indicated that only the first season will be packaged in a special package to “kick off” the series on DVD, and that subsequent seasons will release in standard packaging.

The Coach package comes on the heels of Multi Packaging Solutions winning an Alex Award for its leading role in packaging the alternative rock band Tool’s album 10,000 Days (Zomba).
